The Transportation Department would like board approval to enter into a 5-year agreement with ESD 112 to provide the district with delivery of Department of Licensing (DOL) Commercial Driver License (CDL) Skills Testing Services under Washington State standards. The costs proposed in this agreement are in line with alternative options the district has considered. The funding source will be the general fund.

The Operations Department requests Board Approval of Final Acceptance declaring the Odyssey Middle School HVAC Compressor Replacement Project with Northwest Control Company, Inc. as complete.  The project was completed within the overall project budget.  There were no Change Orders incurred. The final cost, including Washington State sales tax for the project, is $68,105.45

                                                      

Board Acceptance allows the district to submit final paperwork to the Washington State Departments of Revenue, Employment Security, and Labor & Industries to process the release of retainage.

ROOTs Transition is a multi-dimensional residential treatment center located in Park City, Utah, for adolescent girls. They specialize in working with young women who struggle with maladaptive behaviors and those who have experienced trauma. The facility generally serves clientele who are transitioning from a more intensive residential medical facility.

Placement in a residential school occurs when it’s determined that we cannot provide appropriate education services within one of the district’s educational programs or one of the region’s day treatment options. The Special Services Department requests board approval to place a student at this location during the 2023-2024 school year. The cost of the program is approximately $19,000 per month.  The cost for services during the 2023-2024 not to exceed $209,000.

The facility general serves clientele who are transitioning from a more intensive residential medical facility.

 

Placement in a residential school occurs when it’s determined that the district is unable to provide appropriate education services within one of the district’s educational programs or within one of the region’s day treatment options. The Special Services Department requests board approval to place a student there during the 2023-2024 school year. The cost of the program is approximately $11,000 per month.  The cost for services during the 2023-2024 not to exceed $130,000.
