OH, LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE AT HOME, I USUALLY AM OKAY SPEAKING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE, BUT I WROTE IT DOWN JUST IN CASE. THERE WE GO.

I WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE ALYSON SHORT, AN AMAZING TEACHER AT LIBERTY MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR MILL TOWN PRIDE AWARD.

WHILE ALL TEACHERS AT OUR SCHOOL ARE DEDICATED TO SERVING THOSE WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES, ALYSON PUTS WORDS INTO ACTION. ONLY RECENTLY HAVE STUDENTS IN OUR INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM WHERE I AM A TEACHER, OUR MOST HIGH NEEDS LEARNERS BEGIN TO ATTEND GENERAL EDUCATION ELA CLASSES.

THESE STUDENTS ARE OFTEN STILL LEARNING LETTER SOUNDS AND FIGURING OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE THEM IN GENERAL EDUCATION, SEVENTH GRADE ENGLISH CAN BE CHALLENGING.

ALYSON TOOK THE BULL BY THE HORNS AND WENT SO FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVING MY STUDENTS, I FEEL LIKE SHE'S REALLY IN OUTER SPACE WHEN IT COMES TO TEACHERS.

MY STUDENTS ARE NOT VISITORS. THEY ARE NOT IN THE BACK PLAYING ON THEIR CHROMEBOOKS SO WE CAN CHECK THE INCLUSION BOX AND PAT OURSELVES ON THE BACK.

THEY ARE INTEGRATED AND PART OF OUR CLASSROOM COMMUNITY.

THEIR ABSENCE, SHE NOTICES AND CHECKS ON THEM.

SHE EVEN GAVE UP HER BREAK DURING A TRAINING TO ATTEND AN IEP AND MEET THE FAMILY OF ONE OF MY STUDENTS.

SHE CREATED AN ADAPTIVE, ACCESSIBLE CURRICULUM FOR THEM, ALIGNED WITH CLASSROOM TEXTS AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE ACTIVE LEARNERS IN THE CLASSROOM.

THIS RESULTED IN THESE STUDENTS NOT ONLY BEING SEEN AND SERVED IN HER CLASSROOM, BUT WHEN THEY'RE WALKING AROUND THE SCHOOL, KIDS KNOW THEM, PEOPLE KNOW THEM. PEOPLE SAY HI AND GREET THEM. THEY ARE LIBERTY LIONS. THEY ARE NOT VISITORS.

THEY ARE PART OF THE CLASS IN THE COMMUNITY. MISS SHORT EXEMPLIFIES WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN INCLUSIVE EDUCATOR, AND WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE HER AT LIBERTY MIDDLE SCHOOL.

SO, MISS SHORT, COME ON UP [APPLAUSE]. AND HERE, HERE TO PRESENT THE AWARD TO MISS SHORT IS ADEN HOLMES, ONE OF ONE OF MY STUDENTS, ONE OF HER STUDENTS.

AND NEXT UP, WE HAVE A STUDENT REPORT, KIND OF A COOL STUDENT REPORT FROM ISABELLA DEAN, WHO'S GOING TO BE TALKING ABOUT QUANTIFYING THE MENTAL HEALTH IMPACT OF SWIMMING ON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. SO, ISABELLA, IF YOU WANT TO JUST COME UP TO THE PODIUM.

OH, THERE WE GO. OKAY. HI, I'M IZZY. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME SPEAK TO YOU GUYS TODAY.

I'M HERE I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE SWIM TEAM.

THIS IS THE SWIM TEAM. THEY ARE MADE UP OF NEARLY 100 SWIMMERS EACH YEAR, SPLIT BETWEEN THE GIRLS AND THE BOYS TEAM.

THEY ARE ACADEMIC ROCK STARS WITH A MAJORITY OF HIGH GRADES AND OR GOOD GRADES AND HIGH GPA, AND ATHLETIC ROCK STARS BEING NEARLY UNDEFEATED EVERY YEAR, ALL THE WAY UP TO DISTRICTS WHERE WE DOMINATE EVERY SINGLE EVENT AND WIN BY TEN POINTS AND GO ON TO STATE. THESE ARE THINGS YOU MAY HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE SWIM TEAM, BUT SOMETHING YOU MAY NOT KNOW IS THAT 23% ARE DIAGNOSED WITH A MENTAL HEALTH DISORDER AND 38% ARE SUSPECTED WITH MENTAL OR SUSPECTED OR HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A PHYSICIAN BUT NOT YET DIAGNOSED.

AS SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE SPORTS THEIR WHOLE LIFE, I KNEW GROWING UP, I I KNEW GROWING UP THAT SPORTS HELP YOU NOT JUST PHYSICALLY BUT ALSO MENTALLY. BUT WHEN I WAS IN SEVENTH GRADE, AFTER COVID HAPPENED, I JOINED THE A CLUB SWIM TEAM, AND IT WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER SPORT I HAD DONE BEFORE.

ON DAYS WHEN I SWAM LIKE, IT WAS SUCH A STRESS RELIEF AND I FELT LIKE I WAS IN A BETTER MOOD, I FELT MORE ORGANIZED. I FELT MORE MOTIVATED, LIKE IT WAS DIFFERENT THAN ANYTHING I HAD DONE BEFORE.

SO WHEN I WAS A FRESHMAN, I JOINED CAMAS HIGH SCHOOL SWIM TEAM, AND I INSTANTLY FELT SUCH A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, LIKE THEY REALLY BRING STUDENTS TOGETHER. AND WE WERE A SMALLER TEAM BACK THEN, LIKE PROBABLY AROUND LIKE 40, 35 KIDS. AND EVERY YEAR WE'VE GROWN SINCE. AND AS I, AS I GREW UP IN THIS COMMUNITY, I'M A SENIOR NOW, AND I WAS THE CAPTAIN OF THE GIRLS SWIM TEAM THIS YEAR AND THE MANAGER OF THE BOYS SWIM TEAM THIS YEAR AND LAST YEAR, I WAS THIS I WAS REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT HOW SWIMMING HAD BENEFITED OTHERS BECAUSE I HAD NOTICED IT IN MYSELF.

AND SO I TALKED TO THESE STUDENTS ABOUT HOW SWIMMING WAS DIFFERENT FOR THEM THAN OTHER SPORTS THEY HAD DONE, OR HIGH SCHOOL SWIM VERSUS CLUB SPORTS, LIKE CLUB SWIM THEY HAD DONE, AND THEY HAD TOLD ME VERY SIMILAR, LIKE THEY HAD VERY SIMILAR RESPONSES TO HOW I EXPERIENCED IT, WHICH WAS VERY VALIDATING.

AND NOT ONLY HAD THE SWIMMERS SAID THIS, BUT ALSO THE COACHES HAD SAID THIS AND THEIR PARENTS HAD SAID THIS SAYING THAT IT HAD CHANGED THEIR FAMILY DYNAMIC.

IT HAD CHANGED RELATIONSHIPS. IT HAD CHANGED LIKE HOW THEY WORKED AT SCHOOL AND GOT BETTER GRADES AND LIKE, GAVE THEM SUCH A SENSE OF WORTH AND LIKE COMMUNITY AND CONFIDENCE IN THEMSELVES, WHICH WAS VERY, VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND VERY, VERY COOL TO SEE HOW IMPACTFUL SWIM WAS.

AND MY INTEREST TURNED INTO RESEARCH AS THIS IS MY SENIOR YEAR, I WANTED TO FOCUS ON THIS FOR MY SENIOR RESEARCH PROJECT.

SO I MADE A ANONYMOUS FORM FOR ALL THE STUDENTS TO FILL OUT, AND I GOT A BUNCH OF DATA FROM THAT.

OH, SORRY. SORRY. THERE YOU GO. ALL RIGHT. THIS IS SOME OF THE DATA THAT I PROVIDED.

89% OF THE SWIMMERS ON DAYS THAT THEY SWAM, THEY HAD A BETTER MOOD, 51% HAD LESS STRESS, 72 WERE LESS ANXIOUS, 75% HAD HIGHER ENERGY, 64% HAD MORE MOTIVATION, 71% HAD BETTER RELATIONSHIPS, 42% HAD BETTER GRADES, 47% WERE MORE ORGANIZED AND 56% HAD BETTER TIME MANAGEMENT.

THAT BEING SAID, WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ON BEHALF OF SWIM TEAM, WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING SWIM TEAM FOR CAMAS HIGH SCHOOL AS IT IS SUCH AN IMPACTFUL SPORT TO ALL THESE STUDENTS. LIKE IT IS LIKE LEGITIMATELY LIFE CHANGING.

IT CHANGED MY LIFE AND A LOT OF THESE SWIMMERS EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING.

SO JUST BY SUPPORTING SWIM TEAM, YOU GUYS ARE LIKE, IT IS SUCH AN IMPACTFUL SPORT THAT YOU GUYS ARE BENEFITING SO MANY STUDENTS.

A LOT OF THE PROGRAMS THAT WE HAVE PROVIDE THOSE SUPPORTS, AND I APPRECIATE THE DATA BACKING IT UP AS WELL.

BUT LIKE, I JUST WANTED TO INFORM YOU GUYS THAT, LIKE, LIKE, LIKE THE DEMOGRAPHIC OF THE PEOPLE THAT SWIM TEAM IS SERVING AND LIKE THE LIKE THE, LIKE BELOW THE SURFACE LEVEL, LIKE THE DEEPER INFORMATION OF, LIKE HOW YOU GUYS ARE ACTUALLY, LIKE SUPPORTING SUCH AN IMPACTFUL SPORT.

BUT HOW IS A TEAM MEMBER AS A CAPTAIN, RIGHT? OR EVEN JUST AS A JUST A TEAM MEMBER, HOW DO YOU AND YOUR PEERS SUPPORT THAT BALANCE BETWEEN TRAINING AND TRYING TO BE COMPETITIVELY SUCCESSFUL WITH THAT MENTAL HEALTH KIND OF AWARENESS, LIKE SEEING EACH OTHER WHEN YOU'RE NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY.

I KNOW SWIMMING LIFTS YOU UP, BUT WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED IN YOUR TIME IN THE DISTRICT WITH YOUR ACL TRAINING AND SUPPORT? HOW DO YOU SUPPORT YOUR PEERS IN THAT? BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT COMPETITIVE, RIGHT? HOW DO YOU HELP THEM THROUGH THOSE TIMES? WELL, AS A SENIOR NOW, EVERY SINGLE YEAR I'VE HAD A DIFFERENT COACH AND THIS YEAR'S COACH.

LIKE REALLY WE HAVE SOMETHING CALLED MINDSET MONDAY, WHICH HELPS BECAUSE A LOT OF THE SWIMMERS HAVE A LOT OF ANXIETY AND HAVE A HARD TIME PROCESSING, LIKE INCLUDING ME AND LIKE THESE MINDSET MONDAYS THAT WE HAVE IT.

WE LIKE FOCUS ON MULTIPLE DIFFERENT THINGS THAT HELP US LIKE PROCESS.

LIKE IT'S MORE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE THAN JUST THE OUTCOME.

AND LIKE THAT US HAVING A GOOD TIME ACTUALLY HELPS US SWIM BETTER SO.

AND ALSO AS CAPTAIN, LIKE ME AND ALL THE OTHER SENIORS, UPPERCLASSMEN LIKE WE ARE SUCH LIKE AN IMMERSIVE COMMUNITY.

LIKE, LIKE THE ENVIRONMENT IS SO MUCH MORE PRODUCTIVE THAN ANY OTHER SPORT BECAUSE YOU'RE KIND OF SWIMMING YOUR OWN RACE RATHER THAN LIKE COMPETING AGAINST OTHERS.

IT'S LIKE SINCE YOU'RE SWIMMING YOUR OWN RACE, EVERYONE LIKE KIND OF UNDERSTANDS WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH AND THEY'RE SUPPORTING YOU THROUGH THAT. SO IT'S LIKE WE ALL KIND OF JUST SUPPORT EACH OTHER VERY WELL.

HOW MANY OF THE SWIMMERS JOIN THE SWIM TEAM NOT HAVING BEEN ON A SWIM TEAM BEFORE? I, I DON'T KNOW THE PERCENTAGE, BUT A LOT OF, LIKE, I WOULD SAY MORE THAN PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEFORE.

LIKE, THERE ARE A LOT OF SWIMMERS THAT HAVE, LIKE, JOINED AND THEY HAVE NEVER SWAM BEFORE IN THEIR LIVES, NOT EVEN LIKE RECREATIONALLY, LIKE WE LIKE OUR FIRST TWO WEEKS.

LIKE THERE ARE SOME SWIMMERS THAT COME TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM AND LIKE THAT'S LIKE LIKE EVEN THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE SWAM SINCE THEY WERE LIKE TWO.

LIKE THEY SUPPORT THEM. LIKE EVEN WHEN THEY LIKE THE FIRST TIME THEY LIKE, DO A LEGAL 50 FREE LIKE, EVERYONE'S LIKE, SO EXCITED FOR THEM AND LIKE, SUPPORTING THEM.

LIKE WE HAVE SOME GREAT SWIMMERS AND LIKE, WE ALL JUST SUPPORT EACH OTHER.

AND SO I WOULD SAY THAT THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE THAT HAVE NOT SWAM BEFORE, AT LEAST COMPETITIVELY, THAN PEOPLE THAT HAVE. THAT'S GREAT BECAUSE I KNOW SPORTS ARE LIKE, YOU KNOW, THERE'S SO MANY CLUB SPORTS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE FEEL LIKE, OH MAN, IF YOU DON'T SPECIALIZE SO EARLY. AND BUT SWIMMING SEEMS LIKE STILL ONE OF THOSE GREAT SPORTS, LIKE TENNIS, WHERE YOU CAN GO OUT FOR IT AND BE ON THE TEAM AND FIND THAT SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.

THAT'S AWESOME. ABSOLUTELY. WHEN I STARTED MY FIRST YEAR, I WAS IN LANE EIGHT, WHICH IS LIKE THE SLOWEST LANE.

LANE EIGHT IS IT GOES FROM LANE ONE TO LANE EIGHT, AND LANE ONE IS LIKE THE FASTEST PEOPLE THAT ARE COMPETING TO GO TO STATE.

LANE EIGHT IS LIKE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE LEARNING HOW TO SWIM. FIRST YEAR I STARTED IN LANE EIGHT.

SECOND YEAR I STARTED IN LANE FIVE. THIRD YEAR I STARTED IN LANE THREE AND THEN THIS YEAR I WAS IN LANE TWO.

SO I WAS LIKE LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE, LIKE EVERY SINGLE DAY YOU IMPROVE SO, SO MUCH.

AS LONG AS YOU'RE IN LIKE AS LONG AS YOU ARE CONSISTENT.

LIKE YOU CAN LIKE MAKE LEAPS AND BOUNDS. IT'S IT'S A REALLY COOL SPORT COMPARED TO OTHERS.

AND IT'S ALSO SOMETHING YOU CAN DO LIFELONG. YEAH.

OH YEAH. IT'S LIKE LOW IMPACT, LIKE HIGH BENEFITS.

LIKE IT WORKS YOUR HEART, YOUR BODY, YOUR LUNGS, YOUR MUSCLES, LIKE PEOPLE LIKE I MY MOM WAS A SWIMMER.

SHE WENT TO OLYMPIC TRIALS. AND, LIKE, I'VE ALWAYS, LIKE, WATCHED HER SWIM.

WHERE'S YOUR MOM? SHE DIDN'T WANT TO. SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE POINTED OUT.

SHE SHE I ALWAYS, AS A KID WOULD GO TO THE POOL AND WATCH HER SWIM, AND SHE'S ACTUALLY THE REASON I JOINED SWIM TEAM, WHICH, LIKE, ACTUALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. BUT I, LIKE, HAVE GONE TO SWIM MEETS WHERE, LIKE, AN EIGHT YEAR OLD WILL HELP THEIR 100 YEAR OLD.

LIKE, LIKE, FATHER ONTO THE BLOCK TO DIVE AND DO A SWIM MEET.

LIKE, WE'VE GONE TO NATIONALS. WE WENT TO NATIONALS LIKE TWO YEARS AGO AND THERE'S LIKE 102 SWIMMER, LIKE SWIMMING, LIKE 200 BACKSTROKE.

IT WAS LIKE, IT'S JUST SO COOL. IT'S SUCH A LIFELONG SPORT.

THAT'S SO BEAUTIFUL. SO THAT IS REALLY AMAZING.

OUR OUR MLK ASSEMBLY KICKED OFF OUR UPSTANDER WEEK AT LIBERTY.

STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN AN UPSTANDER LESSON ON WEDNESDAY ON TUESDAY.

ON WEDNESDAY, CLASSES CREATED DOOR POSTERS WITH WORDS OF CHARACTER ON THEM TO SHOW THEIR COMMITMENT.

ON THURSDAY, CLASSES USED ENTRY TASK CREATED BY ASB FOR EACH PERIOD TO PRACTICE A DIFFERENT ASPECT OF RESPECT, KINDNESS, OR COMPASSION. FRIDAY ENDED THE WEEK WITH A READ OUT SPIRIT DAY AND LUNCHTIME ACTIVITIES TO BRING STUDENTS TOGETHER AND CREATE UNITY.

AT THE END OF AN UPSTANDER WEEK, STUDENTS OF LIBERTY WERE ABLE TO FILL OUT A SURVEY TO GET INVOLVED IN OUR FIRST PRACTICE IN OUR FIRST EVER SERVICE PROJECT PLAN. WE HAD 11 DIFFERENT SERVICE PROJECTS PROJECTS OPTIONS INCLUDING; HELPING AT HELEN BALLER, KNIT A SQUARE, NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP, NEIGHBOR APPRECIATION, CARE HOME PACKAGES, STUDENT CENTER BULLETIN BOARD, DECORATING, CREATING ART WITH OUR INTEGRATED COMMUNITY CLASS, COMPLETED SERVICE IN LIBERTY, AND WE HOSTED STUDENTS FROM HAYES WHO LED A SENIOR CLASS SENIOR PROJECT CLASS ABOUT DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP AND SOCIAL MEDIA.

ALL IN ALL , OVER 200 STUDENTS GOT TO EXPERIENCE WHAT SERVICE LOOKS LIKE OVER THE COURSE OF CONSECUTIVE WEDNESDAYS. STUDENT LEADERSHIP CLASSES CREATED PROJECTS FOR OUR FELLOW STUDENTS TO PRACTICE SERVANT LEADERSHIP. THEIR PROJECTS INCLUDED MAKING SPIRIT DAYS LIKE RHYME WITHOUT REASON DAY AND PAJAMA DAY, AS WELL AS MUSICAL CHAIRS, BOARD GAMES, BINGO, AND COMPUTER GAMES AT LUNCH.

STUDENTS GOT TO SEE WHAT PROJECT PLANNING ENTAILS IN EVERYTHING THAT GOES INTO IT, FROM BEGINNING TO END.

THE LIBERTY MIDDLE SCHOOL JAZZ JAZZ BAND PERFORMED AT THE CLARK COLLEGE JAZZ FESTIVAL ON JANUARY 30TH.

SEVERAL STUDENTS PLAYED SOLOS WITH THE BAND, INCLUDING KIRA ODA MEYER, WHO RECEIVED AN OUTSTANDING MUSICIAN AWARD FROM HIS MASTERFUL DRUMMING. THE KIDS ALL SHOWED THEIR LIBERTY PRIDE AND MADE THEIR TEACHER, MR. HENION, VERY PROUD. HE IS GETTING COMPLIMENTS FROM PEOPLE THAT WERE AT THE FESTIVAL.

ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31ST, LIBERTY'S WEB LEADERS BROUGHT BACK A LIBERTY TRADITION, CAMP LIBERTY.

THIS EVENT INCLUDED OVER 100 6TH GRADERS, OVER 30 8TH GRADERS FROM WEB LEADERS, AND NEARLY 30 ADULT HELPERS. STUDENTS TRAVELED THROUGH ORGANIZED STATIONS AND PLAY GAMES TOGETHER TO BUILD COMMANDEER, AND COMMUNITY. OUR PTO PROVIDED DINNER FOR ALL THOSE PRESENT AND THE EVENT WENT FROM AFTER SCHOOL TO 9 P.M..

OVERALL, IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE MR. VOLK HAS BEEN AT LIBERTY, OR MAYBE THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE DISTRICT, ALL SECONDARY SCHOOLS CAME TOGETHER FOR AN ASB TRAINING WITH SCOTT BERKOVICH FROM INVOLVE ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH. STUDENTS GOT TO LEARN HOW TO CREATE BETTER, MORE MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES WHILE THINKING ABOUT ALL STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED THEIR SCHOOLS. LIBERTY CONTINUES TO TRY AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS WITH VARIOUS INTERESTS.

ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH, LIBERTY HOSTED OUR PRIDE AWARD ASSEMBLY.

STUDENTS WHO WERE SELECTED TO BE LIONS PRIDE AWARD WINNERS WERE ANNOUNCED AND RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS IN FRONT OF IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL AND FAMILY.

OUR JAZZ BAND PERFORMED AT THE ASSEMBLY AND WE PLAYED A FUN GAME INVOLVING INFLATABLE MATTRESSES AND GRADE LEVEL RACES AROUND THE FLOOR. SOME LIBERTY EIGHTH GRADERS PARTICIPATE IN A CHOIR SHOWCASE AT MOUNTAIN VIEW HIGH SCHOOL ON FEBRUARY 7TH.

THIS SHOWCASE REPRESENTED OVER 13 SCHOOLS IN SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON.

WE HAD 8 LIBERTY STUDENTS INVITED TO REPRESENT US, PERFORMING FOR A CROWD OF OVER 750 PEOPLE.

THEY PERFORMED AMAZINGLY. THE WEEK. THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 10TH TO 14TH, WE HAD 11 STUDENTS REPRESENT LIBERTY OF ALL STATE IN THREE DIFFERENT CHOIRS JUNIOR YOUTH, JUNIOR MIXED AND JUNIOR TREMBLE.

THESE STUDENTS SENT IN AUDIO RECORDINGS TO THE STATE LEVEL, DEMONSTRATING EXCELLENCE IN TONE, AGILITY AND MUSICALLY. YEAH. YEAH. THESE STUDENTS TRAVELED TO SPOKANE AND WERE CHOSEN FROM STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE STATE OF WASHINGTON. LIBERTY STAFF PARTICIPATED IN A SUPER SECRET STAFF SPIRIT WEEK FEBRUARY 10 TO 14.

EACH DAY, [INAUDIBLE] STUDENTS STAFF WERE COORDINATED, OUTFITS USED KEY WORDS OF THE DAY, AND EVEN USED MADE UP SLANG WORDS TO PARTICIPATE.

STUDENTS WERE TOLD THAT ALL THESE HAPPENINGS WERE SIMPLE, WERE SIMPLY COINCIDENCE.

IT WAS GREAT FUN FOR THE STAFF EVEN THOUGH THE LAST TWO DAYS WERE CANCELED DUE TO SNOW AND ICE.

LIBERTY'S ASB RAN TWO DIFFERENT FUNDRAISERS DURING THE WEEK LEADING UP TO VALENTINE'S DAY.

ONE WAS CALLED FRIENDSHIP FLOWERS. ASB STUDENTS HAD BEEN MAKING ORIGAMI FLOWERS FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS.

THESE FLOWERS WERE ABLE TO BE PURCHASED FOR 50 FOR $0.50 EACH, OR TWO FOR $1.

THERE WERE CARDS THAT WERE THAT THAT THOSE PURCHASED COULD WRITE ON TO KNOW WHO TO DELIVER THE FLOWERS TO.

AND THEY HAD THE OPTION TO PERSONALIZE A MESSAGE AS WELL.

THE SECOND FUNDRAISER WAS CALLED SNACKENTINE'S.

ASB STUDENTS SOLD VALENTINES THEMED SNACKS DURING LUNCH LUNCHES.

THESE SNACKS COULD COULD HAVE BEEN PURCHASED FOR THEMSELVES OR GIFTED TO OTHER STUDENTS.

LIBERTY ASB CHOSE TO USE THE PROCEEDS TO HELP SCHOOLS DAMAGED BY THE FIRE [INAUDIBLE] I N CALIFORNIA. LIBERTY SPRING MUSICAL WILL BE THE MUSIC MAN.

AUDITIONS FOR THE MUSIC MAN TOOK PLACE ON FEBRUARY 18TH AND 19TH, AND FIRST IN REHEARSALS HAVE BEGUN.

SO FAR, THERE HAS BEEN NO TROUBLE IN RIVER CITY AND ALL 76 TROMBONES HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTED FOR.

OUR SWIM TEAM AS YOU HEARD, PHENOMENAL. WE HAVE ATHLETES ACROSS ALL SPORTS JUST DOING INCREDIBLE THINGS.

ADDITIONALLY, I WOULD SAY OUR CLUB SEASON IS REALLY RATCHETING UP.

THE FIRST ROBOTICS SEASON IS UPON US. AND AS MATTHEW SAID WE HAD A WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO PRACTICE HERE, WHICH IS AMAZING. SO WE HAD TEAMS FROM ALL OVER THE REGION PRACTICING, AND WE'RE ONE OF THE ONLY FULL FIELD PRACTICE AREAS IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST, WHICH IS REALLY AWESOME. AND A REAL QUICK STORY ABOUT THAT.
